Whenever those European designers come out with yet another uber-hip wristwatch I can’t afford, I sigh and rationalize it by saying I wasn’t cool enough to wear it anyway.
Now, fortunately, you can have the next best thing: an uber-hip screensaver clock that uses text instead of numbers (two settings: a giant paragraph or a text “wheel“).
Granted, in order for it to start conversation you’ll have to have your computer with you, which is a little more socially awkward than a watch. (”Anyone know what time it is? Oh, wait – I have my laptop in this bag; let me just pull it out, boot it up, and check the time on my snazzy new screensaver!”)
